Jr. Experience Designer

Job Brief:
The Jr. Experience Designer position is responsible for supporting select client engagements primarily focused on mobile and web application design. This role requires experience in modern digital design across web and mobile applications.
Knowledge of industry-standard best practices and design tools/technologies a plus. This individual is expected to work under the guidance and direction of senior leadership for production design needs in addition to providing creative concepting and iterative design support across select client projects.
Able to read and understand project and requirements documentation; Able to create presentation and production artifacts and design deliverables for client and project team needs; Able to digest and extend established design patterns and systems across web and application designs for new visual and functional needs; Able to incorporate UX design best practices in parallel with visual design execution; Basic understanding of design systems, atomic design, and responsive design principles.
Executes design and creative production needs with design leadership oversight and sees it through to project completion; Develops creative concepts or visual directions with design leadership oversight; Innovative and contemporary design approach; Proactively suggests new ways of thinking to drive impact; Proactively identifies and communicates gaps that impact their ability to produce design and creative assets; Natural collaborator who seeks opportunities to include members of other teams; Demonstrates a strong understanding of Experience Design, Modern Design Principles, & UX/UI best practices; Strong communication skills for internal project collaboration; Ability to grow and expand scope of creative skills and expertise.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and production of digital creative for websites, mobile apps, and high-impact presentations and pitches
  • Contribute to design production needs with oversight and guidance from design leadership, following established UX and design patterns to produce end-to-end design documentation
  • Conceptualize and produce new design & creative direction and/or executions with oversight and guidance from design leadership
  • Proficient experience with modern UX design and creative tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Design asset production and handoff for projects, development, and client needs
  • Collaborate closely with project team members to deliver neccessary design artifacts to meet project milestones and client needs
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of UI design experience (digital/agency experience preferred)
  • Self-motivated and organized

  • Knowledge of digital design best practices
  • Foundational knowledge of UX design and design thinking principles
  • User-centric mindset

  • Advanced mastery of the English language with very strong communication skills (written English & oral)
  • Ability to work both individually and with a team
Experience with the following is a Plus:
  • Interactive prototyping for presentation and/or development hand off needs
  • Experience in non-digital design production (marketing, print, social media, etc.)
  • Working knowledge/foundational understanding of front-end development technologies and frameworks
